This year’s Highlife fair was in the biggest fair complex in Holland: the Rai in Amsterdam. It was a great success, show-casing everything that related to cannabis & hemp.
Also Legalize! had a stall and we attracted a lot of visitors with our WarOnDrugs game. The winners and losers received a lovely price. People could buy T-shirts (sold out!) or simply donate (thanks 2 all who did!). On the last day we had some nice grooves from the Back-A-Wall movement.
Together with the girls and guys from Hanfparade and ENCOD we gave a nice little display of a demonstration. The demonstration was not only a demonstration against police suppression outside in the general world, but also specifically inside the fair. Police presence was very dominant throughout the fair and, with tax and custom (douane) officials they combined to create a very oppressive presence. This gave the fair a bitter taste, even though everything was extremely relaxed
